5.1 Cast Your Vote
- When the round is open, choose a card under Choose your estimate.
- You can change your selection any time before the round is revealed.
- Planning poker accepts number keys as a shortcut for common card values.
- Dot voting spends the dot budget across items. A survey uses the choices set in the wizard, including multiple selection or free text when those options are on.
5.2 Votes Stay Private
Your selection stays private until the facilitator reveals the round, or until auto-reveal runs because everyone has voted. Other people see that you voted, not the value. This keeps estimates honest and avoids anchoring.
5.3 Live Participation
The room shows N of M voted and a progress bar. Switch the room between List and Table. List keeps a roster beside the vote. Table seats each person around the table; cards stay face down until reveal. The choice is remembered in this browser.
In an open room the facilitator names the current vote, then chooses Start voting. The same join code stays on screen for the next vote.
5.4 Facilitator Controls
- Reveal votes (R) flips the round. Press R as a shortcut.
- Skip item, or Skip vote in an open room, when the topic is out of scope.
- Previous item and Next item move through a named list after the current round is revealed.
- Spectator mode watches the round without casting a vote. Choose Exit spectator to vote again.
- The host can Make co-host so another person can facilitate. End session closes the room after you confirm.
- An async session shows that label, plus a deadline chip when a reveal deadline was set.
