7.1 Custom Decks
Every site starts with the standard planning poker deck: 0, ½, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, ?, ∞, and ☕. Create extra decks for t-shirt sizes, a Fibonacci variant, or an internal scale. Confidence, fist-of-five, roman, dot, and survey formats do not use these decks.
7.2 The Deck Editor
- Open Settings → Governance → Manage decks.
- Enter a deck name and comma-separated values, for example
XS, S, M, L, XL, then Create deck. - Set as site default so new planning-poker sessions pre-select that deck. Delete removes a custom deck.
- The standard deck stays available. Facilitators still pick a deck on the Deck step of the wizard.
7.3 Backlog Import
On the Work items step, choose Name topics now and type one item per line, or choose Open room and name each vote later. When an administrator turns on Azure DevOps in Settings → Advanced, the wizard can import work items. Imported items keep their external reference so an agreed estimate can be written back.
