Guide summary

Log hours for one week, switch among list, grid, and calendar views, and submit the week when it is complete.

On this page

Log time

  • Open My Timesheet and choose the week. The week starts on Sunday or Monday, based on Settings.
  • Choose List, Grid, or Calendar. All three views show the same entries.
  • Choose Log time. Pick the date, client, job, and work type, then enter hours and an optional note.
  • Jobs are shown as the job code and the job title. The client is a separate field.
  • Mark the line billable or non-billable. The default comes from Settings and can be changed on the line.
  • Save the line. Logging the same job on the same date updates that entry.

Weekly limits

  • The week shows progress toward the target hours, such as 40.
  • The week cannot go past the maximum hours configured in Settings. Log time stays unavailable once the week is at the cap.
  • Future dates are allowed only when Settings turns that option on.

Submit the week

  • Submit week sends the week to the approver. Draft lines on that week are included.
  • After submit, the employee cannot change the week.
  • An approved week stays locked for the employee until a manager rejects it or a site owner reopens it.
  • A rejected week returns to draft so the employee can edit and submit again.
  • Delete is available on a draft line. Submitted and approved lines stay until the week is reopened.
