User & Administration Guide — Version 1.0.0.25

Guide summary

Settings cover the header, the theme, the search scope, refiners, and the email message.

On this page

General

Settings > General sets the language for this browser, the product name, the company name shown as the header title, the subline, and a support contact chosen from people on the site. Leave the company name blank to show the product name. Leave the subline blank to use “Find the right content. Faster.”

Appearance

Settings > Appearance sets light, dark, or system theme, the Fluent color scheme, density, and the header mark. The mark color does not change the Fluent scheme, and the search button keeps its own accent. Further down are the SharePoint chrome options: hide the site’s left navigation, the page title and author, the command bar, or the suite bar.

Search

  • Results per page is 10 or 25. A person can still choose 50 for that session.
  • Sort is Relevance or Newest.
  • Line-of-business name labels the Business tab. Line-of-business KQL is the query for that tab, for example ContentType:Renewal. Leave the KQL empty and that tab has nothing to show.
  • Pinned answers show a chosen title and link when a search matches the phrase. The app keeps up to eight.
  • Refiners turn individual filters on or off.
  • Search scope is Tenant, Site collection, or This site. Extra site or hub URLs apply only to Site collection and This site. A URL has to be on this tenant.
