Where it runs

SearchHub 365 version 1.0.0.25 is one SharePoint Framework web part. It runs in the browser of the signed-in person. SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams use the same app. Pages inside the web part are hash routes: Search, Analytics, Settings, and Subscription. The web part does not include a SharePoint Framework extension or a server of its own.

Each query is a SharePoint Search call made as the signed-in person. SharePoint applies that person’s permissions. Results are not cached across users, and they are not copied into the app lists. Promoted answers are matched in the browser and shown above the SharePoint results.

What the site stores

  • SH365Settings holds names, appearance, language, the app-admin list, search settings, email settings, and a license key if one was activated.
  • SH365Scopes holds site and hub URLs used when the search scope is the site collection or this site.
  • SH365Queries holds one row per recorded search: term, area, result count, latency, zero-result flag, clicked rank, and correlation id.

Result titles, paths, and file contents are not stored.

Email

Email builds the message in the browser and sends it with Microsoft Graph as the signed-in person. The package requests one delegated permission, Mail.Send. It does not request permission to read the mailbox. Fifty results or fewer are an HTML table. More than 50 results are attached as search-results.csv, up to the first 500.

Subscription check

The trial and the yearly subscription are checked in the browser against subscription.chronodat.com for the slug searchhub-365. The call sends the host site, the tenant, the product, and the signed-in person’s email. It does not send search results. The price is $499 per year for unlimited users in the tenant, after a 14-day trial.
