User & Administration Guide — Version 1.0.0.24

Guide summary

A site owner, or someone with Full Control, completes setup on the page that hosts the web part. Setup creates the required lists, seeds default roles, and creates SharePoint groups for those roles.

On this page

Requirements

  • SharePoint Online. SharePoint Server (on-premises) is not supported.
  • A tenant App Catalog so a SharePoint or Global administrator can deploy the package.
  • A site owner who can add the web part to a modern full-width page and run Setup.
  • Optional: approval of Microsoft Graph Mail.Send if you want workflow email.

First-run setup

First-run setup: deploy the package, add the web part, run Setup, then assign people
Setup runs once to prepare the site with the required lists, SharePoint groups, and permissions.

Run Setup on the published page that hosts the web part. Site owners are added as app administrators during setup.

  • Deploy sharepoint/solution/procurement-hub.sppkg to the tenant App Catalog and make it available to sites.
  • Add Chronodat Procurement Hub to a modern full-width page, or use Sync to Teams.
  • Open the page and run Setup.
  • Confirm the lists are ready. Settings shows all required lists.
  • Add people to SharePoint Groups or to User Assignments under Settings, then Security.

What setup creates

Setup creates or repairs the SharePoint lists and the RequestDocuments library, seeds the default roles, and creates four SharePoint groups mapped to those roles. Do not rename the lists or columns setup creates. The screens say request and procurement; the app still reads the original list and column names.

Trial and subscription

A 14-day trial is enforced per Microsoft 365 tenant. After the trial ends, the app shows a paywall except Settings and Subscription. License checks run when the app opens.
