Requirements

  • SharePoint Online. SharePoint Server (on-premises) is not supported.
  • A tenant App Catalog so a SharePoint or Global administrator can deploy the package.
  • A site owner who can add the web part to a modern page and run Complete Setup.
  • Optional: approval of Microsoft Graph Mail.Send if you want the app to send mail as the signed-in user.

First-run setup

  1. Upload employee-onboarding.sppkg to the SharePoint App Catalog and deploy it.
  2. Add the Employee Onboarding Hub web part to a modern SharePoint page and publish the page.
  3. Open the page as a site owner and choose Complete Setup in the sidebar.
  4. Open Settings, then General, and confirm the app display name.

You can also open the same page from a Microsoft Teams tab or personal app. Teams uses the same SharePoint lists.

Sample data

Include sample data during setup if you want a ready-made showcase. Settings, then General, can restore sample data later. Sample workers use the WK-1001 style numbers. Workers you create on a live site use the numbering series, such as WK-2026-0001.

Trial and subscription

Each site has a 14-day trial and then a yearly site subscription. While the subscription check is running for the first time, the home page stays on the loading screen. After the trial ends, the app shows the subscription page instead of the working screens. No price is shown in the product until it is set for this offer. One license covers the site, with unlimited users on that site.
