Draft a Reply

User Guide — Version 1.0.5.0

Guide summary

Wordback writes a reply to the open message and inserts it above your signature. It does not send the email.

On this page

Start from the open message

Wordback uses the subject, body, and quoted earlier messages. Image and text attachments on that item can be included. Email addresses and message ids are removed before the text is sent to the provider.

Notes, quick replies, and templates

  • Notes for this reply tell Wordback what you want to say.
  • Quick replies start from a short intent, such as agree, decline, ask, suggest a time, or thank.
  • A saved template can start the same kind of reply again.

Review, then insert

Read the draft in the pane. Write it again, polish it, or translate it if you want a different version. When you insert it, Wordback places the draft above the signature you chose. You still send the email yourself from Outlook.

Review the Wordback draft before inserting it
The draft stays in the pane until you insert it.

Classic Outlook on Windows

Classic Outlook on Windows replaces the reply body when HTML is set. On that host, Wordback includes the original message with the draft so the thread is not dropped. Outlook on the web, new Outlook for Windows, and Outlook for Mac keep the existing thread, and Wordback inserts the draft above your signature.
