Bulk changes applies one change to inspected sites, lists, or libraries that already have unique permissions and that this account can manage.

What can change

Inherited permissions stay as they are. The change does not break inheritance. Sites that have not been inspected are not listed.

Bulk change targets
Only inspected targets this account can manage are listed.

Preview, then apply

  1. Select the targets, or use Select sites you can change.
  2. Prepare change and choose one of: add a person or group, remove a person or group, add a role, or remove a role.
  3. Preview. Nothing is written until you apply. Each target is marked will apply or skipped, with the reason.
  4. Apply. Results stay on this page for the session: succeeded, failed, skipped, pending, or not verified.

If the sites change after the preview, review the preview again before applying.

If SharePoint throttles the account

Wait about two minutes and apply the rest. Sites already listed stay in the inventory.
